General
Amiantit Fiberglass Manholes are flexible composites constructed of a thermo setting chemical resistant polyester resin, glass fiber reinforcement with silica sand and additives as required The manhole is a 1200 mm or 1000 mm cylinder with a hemispheric ally shaped concentric reducer (termed the cone' ) at the top to form the narrower 600 mm manway The cone and cyclindrical portion are manufactured separately and are factory joined with a contact molded Fiberglass joint to produce a one piece manhole Fiberglass manholes conform to the ASTM Specification for Glass Fiber Reinforced Polyester Manhole specification D 3753 79.

Use and Application
The product is suitable for use m corrosive environments including cooling water lines storm sewers, any sanitary sewers with a temperature range of 40°C to 65°C. The manhole is designed for internal non pressure usage except for the head of any contained liquid. Fiberglass manholes must be installed in accordance with Amiantit Fiberglass installation instructions The latest edition or revision to this publication is applicable and will be given to the customer upon his submittal of the Purchase Order. The ring and cover must rest on a course of bricks or a concrete ring, not the fiberglass support ledge All surcharge load must be applied to the ring and cover. Holes or arches may be cut in the cylindrical portion of the manhole using a circular saw, sabre saw or similar equipment with a masonry type blade. Axes, hammers, chisels or similar tools must not be used to make cuts in the manhole.
Maximum single cutout hole diameter is 750 mm for the 1200 mm manhole and 600 mm for the 1000 mm manhole. Sum of all cutouts cannot exceed 1900 mm for the 1200 mm manhole and 1500 mm for the 1000 mm manhole.
